Flesworthy Family Fun: Jasper

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

We recently spent another weekend visiting Andy's brother and family, to cheer on my niece at a volleyball tournament and for general family merriment. They live on several acres out in the country, and every time we visit the farm country estate Henry and Eleanor have the time of their lives. And how could they not, when there's
drums to play

and whole bags of M&Ms that you don't have to share

and cookies to bake and decorate

and golf cart rides

and swings

and chickens

and eggs to gather.

Not to mention a family to dote over your every move. Henry and Eleanor love all their aunts, uncles and cousins, but they practically worship their cousin Molly. They were her shadow all weekend—Henry had to be physically removed from the tournament at one point when he wouldn't stop crying because Molly had to be with her team instead of with him.

And of course Andy and I had fun, too. I had a whole bottle of margaritas at my disposal and a brand-new "It's Britney, bitch" bracelet; Andy had football on two different big-screen TVs. We always enjoy our family's generosity and hospitality, and come home happy campers ready to go back.
