Mom and Dad in town
loving and spoiling of kids
and free childcare

Date night! Sushi? Yes!
Oh, but wait, Gen Con in town,
there’s nowhere to park.

A movie instead.
Inception—great, now I am
scared to start dreaming.

Shopping with my mom
Fabric sale a big success
Trader Joe’s was, too

Projects with my dad
Let’s redo the twins’ closet!
It needs new shelving.

What do you do when
you have a long to-do list?
Go to pool, of course!

thankful for soldiers
who gave their life so I could
enjoy my freedom

slept sixteen hours
up awhile, then slept twelve more
being sick: no fun

weekend of reading
Neverwhere and then re-read
two Little House books

Andy is obsessed
with Bell’s Oberon, it’s like
his Wire of beer

lawn mower wheel broke
we go through mowers like I
go through Diet Coke

sprinkler fun with kids
“watch out, Mom” they giggled as
we ran through the spray

snapped a few photos
then put camera down to play
sometimes just live life

lumberyards galore
Menard’s, Lowe’s and Home Depot
buying deck supplies

new deck will be great
but what I like even more:
having my dad here

tag, tag, tag, sort, tag
price, sort, price, price, tag, tag, sort
twins club sale is soon

I would like yard work
if everything could be done
with a hedge trimmer

pollen everywhere
yellow coating on driveway
mixed in with sawdust
