Our Little Magi

Henry loves his circles. He points out every ball and wheel he sees, and he grabs the circle-shaped blocks first when he plays with his shape sorter. So we knew he liked rounded things, but we still were astounded when late this week he started to point out the letter O. He first pointed at the number zero on the TV remote and went, “ohhhh.” Now he’s moved on to pointing out letter Os in books. We’ll show him a page—“Henry, can you find an O?” “Ohhhhh,” he says, pointing out every one.

We’re not quite sure where he learned this. But with a name like Henry, should we really be surprised?
